ORLANDO, Fla. — Don’t get used to the nice weather on Monday, because cooler temperatures and rain are expected soon.
Lingering morning clouds and fog will give way to sun. With south winds, warmer temperatures will return to the low 80s.
Areas of fog are possible again on Monday night as clouds start to thicken in advance of the next front.
Rain chances will pick up again by Tuesday as this cold front lowers down the Peninsula with a decent chance of showers along and ahead of it.
It will turn cooler briefly behind this system for the middle part of the week, but drier weather will resume through Valentine’s Day.
Another cold front is slated for Friday with showers resuming, so overall it will be an active week weather-wise for Central Florida.
Those in small craft are urged to use caution on Monday with a southerly breeze of 10 to 15 knots and seas of 4 to 6 feet offshore.
It will be considered poor to fair for using a surfboard with an easterly wind swell in the nearshore waters.
