Summer Guide 2019: Cool Orlando events | Summer Guide | Orlando
We heard a rumor once that the rest of the country actually looks forward to summer. Up there, they go outdoors, run around and only have to deal with a moderate amount of sweat. Down here, though, we know the true nature of summer: It’s oppressively hot, it sticks around way past its welcome, and it somehow turns everything sticky. Still, there are lots of good reasons to leave your house this summer. We’ve combed our calendar for some things to look forward to, whether they’re cultural gatherings in (hopefully) shady parks, watching other people play sports, indoor foodie soirées or just a nice afternoon at the movies in Florida-grade air conditioning. Welcome to summer; it only feels like it lasts forever.
