NBC affiliate WPMI-TV reports that 29-year-old Ibraheem Yazeed was arrested late Thursday night in Escambia County and booked into jail early Friday morning after he was taken to the hospital following complaints of chest pains.
Yazeed was charged as being an out of state fugitive and given no bond as he awaits a hearing to be extradited back to Alabama after police identified him as a suspect in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard and issued a warrant on a charge of first degree kidnapping.
Police say Blanchard, who is the stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris, was last seen on October 23rd and was last seen on surveillance video at a store earlier in the month in the city of Auburn, where Yazeed was seen on video at the same store.
Blanchard’s car was later found damaged at a Montgomery apartment complex and investigators determined she was the victim of foul play based on evidence.
